Mother

a seed sown within

mother nourishing with love

a sapling sprouts

green and yellow crops

bounty from the mother earth

chucking a carrot

October will be a Haiku Writing Month at A Haiku A Day. A word prompt will be posted everyday, along with a linking widget. If you are interested, I will see you on 1 October at 00:00 hours with the first word. One can write in any of the Japanese short poetry forms (haiku/senryu/tanka/choka), taking inspiration from the word.
